This was Schoggifestival ehrundredlich 2026 !
Once again, we were able to celebrate the festival in the beautiful Mühle Tiefenbrunnen cultural area. Under this year’s theme, “Power and Monopoly: Who owns chocolate?”, 26 exhibitors presented a wide variety of chocolate-related work: from small bean-to-bar makers from Switzerland, Germany, Ghana, and Ecuador to chocolate experts, traders, NGOs, and the Mole stand — all united by the goal of producing chocolate and cocoa products honestly, transparently, and sustainably.
Despite the now almost legendary cold weather, more than 1,000 visitors came to the festival and immersed themselves in the world of sustainable chocolate creations beneath the colourful roofs of the market stalls. They tasted, discussed, listened, and connected with the people behind the products. More than 20 programme items invited visitors to participate, reflect, and engage in deeper dialogue. Tastings, interactive workshops, inspiring talks and readings, as well as lively panel discussions, ensured a rich and varied programme.
One of the highlights was the Inside Chocolate Lab at the Laflor manufactory, focused on “Power of Flavour, Power of Politics”, with guest speaker and aroma scientist Irene Chetschnik (ZHAW). The day centred on exchange, networking, and shared reflection.
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who showed, once again, that enjoyment and responsibility can go hand in hand. We are already looking forward to the next edition on March 21 2027.
And this is what Schoggifestival 2026 looked like.
